Pierre Bourgie
Pierre Bourgie is a Montrealer who has been present in both the financial world as well as the cultural and community sectors.
Besides being the President of Société Financière Bourgie Inc., a company specializing in investment, he has served on the boards of directors of major companies and financial institutions including Groupe Saputo, National Bank of Canada, Hydro-Québec, Canam Group among others.
Pierre Bourgie is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the past, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the newspaper Le Devoir and the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal.
A Montreal businessman well known for his commitment to Quebec’s cultural life, Pierre Bourgie’s contribution has been devoted in recent years to the development and creation of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ new Canadian art pavilion, “Le Pavillon Claire et Marc Bourgie”, and the establishment of Foundation Arte, which intervenes in the education and music sector.
Motivated by a real passion for the visual arts and music, Pierre Bourgie has united his different interests by combining the world of business with that of arts and culture.
