Managing Director<\/h3>\n

Jean-Frederic has more than 19 years experience in cross-border transactions, private equity investments and banking.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining BDG & partners, he was Managing Director of a large Canadian bank. Before that, he held senior executive positions within three family offices in Singapore and Hong Kong. Jean-Frederic spent the earlier part of his career with a Big Four accounting firm, a law firm based in New York and in the investment banking division of another Canadian bank.<\/p>\n

Jean-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric was Managing Director of the Global Family Office Group at Scotiabank, where he was the lead relationship development strategist in Quebec.<\/p>\n

Prior to that, he spent nearly 10 years in the Asia-Pacific region where he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Office of a French family office based in Singapore. He was also Executive Vice President of a Belgian family office, and Executive Vice President of an Australian family office, both based in Hong Kong. His primary focus as a family office professional was direct private equity investments.<\/p>\n

He spent the earlier part of his career with BMO in Montreal in the investment banking division, and with the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York as a tax attorney. Prior to that, he was Manager of the Financial Advisory Services practice of Deloitte in Montreal.<\/p>\n

Jean-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric received a Master in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University, and a Master of Business Administration from Universit\u00e9 Laval. He graduated from HEC Montr\u00e9al with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy. Jean-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric is a CFA Charterholder, a CAIA Charterholder, a lawyer (New York-qualified) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (Quebec).<\/p>\n
