Jean-Frédéric was Managing Director of the Global Family Office Group at Scotiabank, where he was the lead relationship development strategist in Quebec.

Prior to that, he spent nearly 10 years in the Asia-Pacific region where he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Office of a French family office based in Singapore. He was also Executive Vice President of a Belgian family office, and Executive Vice President of an Australian family office, both based in Hong Kong. His primary focus as a family office professional was direct private equity investments.

He spent the earlier part of his career with BMO in Montreal in the investment banking division, and with the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York as a tax attorney. Prior to that, he was Manager of the Financial Advisory Services practice of Deloitte in Montreal.

Jean-Frédéric received a Master in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University, and a Master of Business Administration from Université Laval. He graduated from HEC Montréal with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy. Jean-Frédéric is a CFA Charterholder, a CAIA Charterholder, a lawyer (New York-qualified) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (Quebec).
